LUSITANO RETREAT — P14 BUILD NOTES Use only with the main pallet guide and material intake checks. Illustrative dimensions are not a structural rating. MEASUREMENTS 1. Measure front, rear and both sides separately, including every door, window, vent and service hatch. 2. Example finish coupon may be 600 × 600 mm; full-building dimensions follow the reviewed enclosure drawings. CUT LIST / COMPONENTS 1. Elevation-by-elevation cladding schedule with board lengths, returns and rejected defects. 2. Separate specified support frame, battens, weather layer, corner trims and opening flashings. 3. Removable base panels with documented attachment and access positions. TOOLS 1. Tape measure, pencil and square; clamps and a stable cutting support 2. Metal detector, suitable saw and drill with timber bits; dust extraction and PPE appropriate to the operation 3. Sanding block, straightedge and the selected connection manufacturer’s installation tools ASSEMBLY 1. Survey the caravan in its final proposed location and create four measured elevation drawings. Mark the chassis, hitch and wheel zones to conceal, alongside every ventilation opening, escape route and maintenance point. 2. Obtain the independent enclosure frame and envelope drawings before ordering or cutting cladding. Transfer their batten positions, cavity terminations, flashings and specified attachment zones onto the four elevations. 3. Sort accepted boards by thickness and usable length, then remove defective portions on a stable bench. Label each retained piece with batch and intended elevation so mixed dimensions do not disrupt the reviewed detail. 4. Make a full-size corner and window-jamb sample on the bench. Dry-fit the specified trims and flashing interfaces, checking the actual reclaimed-board thickness against the designer’s cavity and opening details. 5. After the frame and weather layer have been installed and inspected, mark the specified fixing lines on accessible battens. Keep a photographic record of concealed connections and membranes before any decorative board covers them. 6. Start from the elevation datum shown on the reviewed drawing and clamp the first board in position. Use the specified exterior connection type, drilling and movement allowance; select fixing length from the actual assembly. 7. Continue board by board with consistent spacers and periodic straightedge checks. Build the front and rear as completely as the sides, while retaining the designed vents, door swings and individually removable service panels. 8. Finish the base concealment with the specified removable skirts rather than permanent sealed boxing. Walk around the entire cabin, operate every opening and record drainage, access and attachment checks before accepting the exterior. FINISH AND CARE 1. Sand hand-contact surfaces and ease exposed edges; retain readable batch identification on a concealed face. 2. Use a finish selected for the actual exposure, following its preparation, coat and cure instructions; treat cut ends as specified. COMPLETION CHECKS 1. Front, rear, sides and base conceal the caravan in the intended view without closing required openings. 2. Frame, weathering and fire details need their own approval; this facing schedule supplies no building or caravan classification.
